New Seires, Versus Battle!

I wanna bring fun to my blog by adding a new series of Versus matches. weather it be game, movies, or pure fiction, i thought it would be fun to do something like this.

At the same time i know by doing this i might start little bonfires with "THAT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT and shit like that. well im in no way encouraging that but if you must flame or troll, be intelligent about it lol.

Lets enter the world of movies with this.
Ah! Movies! one of the best forms of entertainment. oh my! its Christmas! so lets make the first versus match a Christmas special.

Vista: Microsoft's Version of Satan

It has come to my attention that 7 is being priased as the "ops sorry for that little setback we have in 2006" Version of Windows we all have been dieing to have, i for one use Windows 7 and im very happy with it. Your probaly sitting there all comfortable in your chair and wondering, "CJ, this post about Vista has been long over due" Well not only am i going to enlighten you on the Failure that is Vista but make you realize that Microsoft has had other problems in the past.

Vista, Destroyer of Memory:

As long as i have been a technician there has been one thing i remember when Vista was out, and that was, "CJ! MY COMPUTER IS SO SLOW!" know why? Vista eats up your memory like a crazy red headed step child who never learned how to share. The Operating System was portly designed to manage memory correctly and leaks alot if ya know what i mean.
This was the only reason why Vista was a problem with me. i DONT like system hogs. Although Vista was very unresponsive sometimes, and very slow, it made up for it in the new layout and design of the windows OS.
But that made casual computer users very confused as to where everything they were used to was placed. this made the job as a IT very.......idk, not worth the job haha. But im sure you have heard alot about the failure that is Vista. so lets talk about the other Failure bestowed upon us.

Windows ME, THE GREATEST MICROSOFT PORDUCT IN THE WORLD.

No, DEAR GOD NO, this piece of crap made me realize why i hated it so much as a kid. Do you realize that this was in my opinion just a selling point? They didnt even try! Windows ME still used the Real-Mode MS-DOS 9X system. meaning it was very ineffienct at the time. ladies and gentlemen this was OLD. SCHOOL. VISTA. Windows NT worked better then this pice of garbage, but that of course was for the Protect-Mode system it used, with NTFS File Stucture.

To put it shortly, 7 has been the best hope for microsoft since Windows NT and even Windows 98. Windows XP had problems too.

I HERD YOU LIKE MUDKIPS!

A tribute to Jon Chrisawn

Im Baaaaack

Wow, look at this, a new post by me, its been awhile, and alot of crap has happened since the last post of a failed video game review.

Wonderfully enough im sitting here in the mayland lunchroom and decided to post a new post on this blog that i have seems to forgotten about, well see the thing is, i nhavnt posted anything because i didnt think people read this blog anyway, but people have been asking so now im back so lets blog!

Update on CJ's most awesome life!

Yep, when life gives you lemons, you throw them away and buy a computer =D
anyway, my life couldnt be anymore better than it is right now, i love everything going on right now and i can honestly not complain about anything in my life right now.

you could say that i havnt felt like this since my ex girlfriend Taylor came along! i feel wonderful! i met this girl named Marissa Hise, she is amazing! shes everything i ever wanted in a girl plus more! ireally enjoy having her as a girlfriend. she is the cutest thing on this god forsaken rock!

Pell! oh shit! every students check of joy is coming soon and i think i have a nice purchase with it, time i trade out that ol' Emachine i have for something a little more powerful, AND BY POWERFUL I MEAN A BEAST! so me and my best friends in the world Jon Chrisawn and Jon Robbydoo has a visit with the local store Epic Computers in Grassy Creek. right off the bat the store owner showed me a wonderful overclocked beast that he could sale me for something a online store could only dream of selling. the machine comes with a quad core processor and a black edition western digital hard drive. im also going to buy a ATI Radeon HD 5770 to make it run anything i throw at it.....for now.

As mentioned above i have the most awesome friends anyone could ever ask for, Alex, Jon and Kindra, and Jon Chrisawn will always be there for me whenever i need them, i also have good friends in other places, every single person who is reading this blog is obvisouly a good friend of mine off facebook, if i had to name all of them it would take up the whole blog.

now, the purpose of this blog was to share my opinions about stuff and hope my voice gets heard so lets keep the format coming with a new Blog Opinion!

The new Motion Devices on Consoles.
Good? or Bad idea?

OH MY GOD, MOTION CONTROLS ARE EVERYWHERE NOW! look at it, Playstaion has those strange looking ball controllers and the Xbox is getting this Eyetoy looking webcam motion sensor shit. i thought that the wii had a nice idea, and i thought it was very original but i think things are now getting outta hand. now i think the new motion controls are nice and very awesome but the thing is, its only a selling point. they saw the wii and there idea and now they wanna make more money, yes i know, its all about the money. the only thing i prey is that the motion control is optional.

So what do you guys think about the motion controls on the systems? good? bad? leave a comment!

Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Hopes and First Impressions

Cue the Opening Music, Masato Nakamaru, Sonic's back and this time he better get it right.

No this isnt a joke, there is going to be a forth installment!

Ok so now the editor wont let me left align, fanf*ckingtastic.....

Anyway back to the matter at hand.
love him or hate him, Sonic is still alive and kicking and this time he seeks to charm the non beilevers with the release of Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1.
Sonic The Hedgehog 4 is set to be released sometime in the summer and will be release to all the major platforms as downloadable content. it will also be relased for a fourth platform but Sega has not released that information.
Hopes:

My hopes for this game is very very strong, Sonic needs something to pull all of the old Sonci fans back and make them love this hyper fast hedgehog once more. my hope is that Sega and Sonic Team have learned there lesson (not to mention any names but....StH2006 >.>) and will actually deliever the Sonic gameplay we all love. Sonic has not had that bad of a run in the Seventh Genereation of gaming but he HAS had some dissappointing titles.

DING! OFF TOPIC BLOGGING!

Sonic has actually had some pretty solid games in the 7th Gen platforms.

  • Sonic Rush
  • Sonic Rush Adventure
  • Sonic Unleashed
  • Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity
  • Sonic Rivals 2

ON TOPIC!

Wow, I can left align now yay! but anyway, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 promises to be the way it was back when i was a kid playing S1, S2, S3&K, SCD...etc...etc... and im almost certain that Sega will not dissapoint.

Impressions:

you can call this game 3d or 2d, but, what you get is the classic side scrolling fun that you are very used to. the website has leaked ALOT about the game, and from what i can see is that the game will feature alot of old badniks and classic traps and puzzles. many new things are added as well but will this destroy the classic feel for the game? that is entirly up to the Sonic Team on that part. a perfect balence of new and old stlye of sonic gameplay must be met to make even the whineist Sonic fan boy happy. Myself would like to see something new with the 2d style there trying to bring back. the rush system would be great to have on some levels. but i do admit that i am NOT a fan boy. i can honestly say i can find the good in EVERY sonic game to date, EVEN StH2006 (for there attempt at a story >.>) im esstatic for this game and i can not wait to play it when it is finally released this summer!

A Review of Screamworks, By HIM

"I can't see as I'm facing your pitiful lies
Don't have the strength to carry your heavy load of life"

Ahhh, finally the world of blogging is at my finger tips, and for my first post i would like to introduce the propose of the Blog, and that my friends would be ANYTHING. Video Games, Computers, my own Public Library, anything you can think of more than likely i am going to Blog about it.

As you are well aware this is in fact a blog created by CJ Edwards
I wanted to clear that out of the water so you wont be in the wrong place.
So what should this first Blog be about? I have a idea.

A Review of:
Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice
By: HIM
(Music Review)

HIM, with frontman Ville Valo returns with a new album Screamworks. throughout the life of HIM they have reached achievements most Finnish metal bands wish to have. A very successful band they have become, but is it enough to impress this Heartagrammy? We shall see

Lyrics for this album was basically classic HIM, and that would be the subject of Love. the lyrics impressed mt in the songs Heartkiller, Like St. Valentine, Ode to Solitude, In The Arms of Rain, and a Classic Love/Evil song, Disarm Me. so all in all, nothing new for HIM, perhaps the way Ville yells in some songs would express some emotion of Anger or Joy, but the yelling is a bit......annoying.....
Score:
Lyrics: 8.6/10

Musically the band is almost the same, except i hear more Keys now. its almost Symphonic, but then again its not. In my honest opinion its not metal anymore....its alot more softer than there previous album Venus Doom. Hell, they consider themselves Alternative now. what happened to Love Metal? =/ i am very disappointed in some instances but then again i like the beat and rhythm of alot of the songs, but i miss the old school HIM, the Heavier HIM. I would like to take you back in time, and compare these two songs, i want you to play the first song first and listen to the music, then listen to the second.

See the difference? but hey, change can be a good thing, i dont mind the change in there music, but it IS noticeable.
Score:
Music: 7.2/10

HIM has become, Pop in some ways, they are even having radio time on my local stations, but thats not a bad thing, but it will be a bad thing when they play Heartkiller 14 times a day.

OVERALL:
8.2/10

Its not there best work but hey its something new.
